Play Like a Kid at Retro Field Day Presented by Events DC
Washington, DC – (July 10, 2017) — Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia, and DC Fray, Washington DC’s premier coordinator of sports leagues and events, announced that registration for the first annual RETRO Field Day presented by Events DC is now open. The event will take place along the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds grass area next to Oklahoma Avenue NE.
Inspired by your favorite day in grade school, RETRO Field Day presented by Events DC will feature outrageous and challenging games providing fun and entertainment for both competitors and spectators alike. Participants from around the DMV are putting together co-ed teams of six to ten who will compete in three mandatory games as well five other activities of their choice, which will be selected from a variety of your favorite childhood playtime happenings such as tug-o-war and relay races. Specific activities will be announced between now and July 29 through facebook.
Winners will be crowned “Best of Field Day” champions and the last place team will receive a special reward as well. All participants will feel victorious as they are treated to unlimited juice boxes, water and music throughout the event. Participants 21 and over will have access to unlimited beer and cider as well. All team members must be over 18. Food trucks and vendors will be on site to fuel the big kids between activities and provide spectators with refreshments.
