Centerplate/NBSE partners with the Center's Green Initiatives
- Promotes the use of locally-grown, fresh products
- Donates unused food to local shelter
- Recycles oil and grease
- Promotes the use of cutlery, china, glass and cloth napkins in our food service functions whenever possible
- Ensures the selection of disposable plastics, when utilized, are of the most easily recycled #1, #2 or #3 types
- Sorts and recycles cardboard
- Separates and recycles glass and plastic
- Recycles paper products both internally utilizing Convention Center receptacles and through the use of office paper shredding companies
- Assists the Center with the provision and placement of recycling opportunities for the public at events and ongoing retail operations
- Participates in the Center's internal greening campaign - “Sustainable Suspects”
- Works with individual Center customers to incorporate special green and sustainable requests
