What happens once I register as a vendor with WCCA?
The vendor information is maintained in a registry of those vendors interested in providing goods and/or services to WCCA. The WCCA Office of Contract and Procurement Services may utilize the registry as a potential source to fulfill a requirement. It is the vendor’s responsibility to check the various sources where WCCA business opportunities are advertised.
Does WCCA have an approved vendor list?
WCCA does not maintain a pre-approved vendor’s list. WCCA does however; maintain a registry of those vendors interested in providing goods and/or services to WCCA.
How do I get a contract with WCCA?
Requirements for WCCA are generally procured through competitive means unless justified as being non-competitive. By regulation WCCA’s informal requirements (<$100,000) are sourced with the following descending order: a. DC Supply Schedule; b. certified business enterprise (CBE) community; c. Federal Supply Schedule; and d. the open market. WCCA’s formal requirements (>$100,000) are generally sourced as a set-aside or open market (with a percentage set-aside).
Where does WCCA advertise its business opportunities?
WCCA advertises its opportunities on the WCCA website and in the classified section of The Washington Post. If applicable, WCCA advertisements may appear in specific industry source publications.
Does WCCA charge fees to provide solicitations to the public?
WCCA generally does not charge a fee to provide solicitations, but may do so in cases where a large volume of documents are requested.
Does WCCA transmit solicitations and accept responses by fax or e-mail?
WCCA may transmit solicitations by fax or e-mail if the vendor has a problem accessing the solicitation on the WCCA website. WCCA may accept responses by fax or e-mail for our informal solicitations (Request for Quotations) which are typically < $100,000.
What if a vendor has a question while responding to a solicitation?
The vendor should telephone or e-mail the contract specialist identified on the solicitation.
How do I file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request?
Requests may be made to: WCCA FOIA Officer, Office of the General Counsel, Washington Convention Center Authority, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, DC 20001.
Does WCCA participate in the District’s certified business enterprise (CBE) program?
WCCA as an independent authority does participate in the District’s certified business enterprise program.
Does WCCA have a vendor grievance procedure?
Vendors must first submit its grievance to the WCCA Chief Contracting Officer (CCO). The CCO’s decision can then be appealed to the DC Contract Appeals Board, 717 14th Street, NW, Suite 430, Washington, DC 20005.
