This restaurant and bar offers savory American cuisine complimented by beer from Washington DC’s first microbrewery, Old Dominion Brewing Co. With 32 beers on tap, The Old Dominion Brewhouse is the perfect place to meet friends, grab a cold beer and watch exciting MLB action on one of their 20 large screen plasma TV’s.
Old Dominion Brewhouse is proud to be a part of the revitalization of the Shaw area. Hanny Chan, part owner, said, “We chose the convention center because of the supportive neighborhood, and the developing retail environment around the convention center.”
Other interesting pieces that can be found through out the convention center include; Capital Stars by current Washington, D.C. resident, Larry Kirkland. Capital Stars is a suspended sculpture that combines history, geography and politics. Another piece found in the convention center is Lingua by Jim Sanborn. Lingua consist of two 16-foot columns that flank the Grand Lobby, each column is inscribed with foreign language text recalling historic meetings, or conventions, the text ranges from 1400 BC to the 19th century.

Chan’s Mongolian Grill and Tokyo Sushi offers a unique dining experience as customers can either choose to create their own Mongolian style stir fry or choose from a wide array of sushi options. Euromarket, a unique café that reflects the diverse flavors of Europe, offers a wide variety of specialty items, everything from gourmet deli sandwiches to hand packed Edy’s ice cream are ready for hungry convention goers and local neighborhood citizens a like, to enjoy. Euromarket also offers an assortment of newspapers and popular magazines, as well as, important travel items for convention attendees.
“We wanted to do a new concept that would bring a friendly and warm atmosphere to both the convention center and the community,” says Caffie Archie, a Euromarket manager.

Capital Business Center provides a variety of services that are catered towards out of town convention visitors, as well as, the community as a whole. Capital Business Center offers such services as: copying and printing, shipping and receiving, faxing, mailbox services, graphic arts, and internet/computer services. With two convenient locations, one located inside the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (hours based on event schedule) and the other located on the 7th street side of the convention center, Capital Business Center is available to help with any business needs you may have.
