Game Day News for the AT&T Nation's Football Classic®
The fourth annual AT&T Nation’s Football Classic® game featuring Morehouse College vs. Howard University is fast approaching on Saturday, Sept. 13 at RFK Stadium.
With so much fun and excitement packed throughout the day, here is a breakdown of the game day schedule.
Kickoff is 3:35 p.m. Mayor Vincent C. Gray will deliver the dignitary welcome, and along with former Washington Redskins quarterback Doug Williams, Major General Mark A. Brilakis, Commanding General, Marine Corps Recruiting Command and DC Lottery official , will conduct the ceremonial coin toss. Singer-songwriter Adrian Marcel, will sing the national anthem while Chelsey Rodgers, Miss District of Columbia International 2010, will perform “Lift Every Voice.”
The halftime show includes the highly anticipated “Battle of the Bands” between the Howard University Showtime Marching Band and the Morehouse College House of Funk.
The Pepsi Fan Festival, a free festival with music, games, food and exhibit booths, is open on the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds (Lot 8) from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Performances on the AT&T Sound Stage include popular performers Adrian Marcel, Eric Bellinger and Jeremih.
The Fan Festival will feature a Pepsi interactive area with an Obstacle Course and Football Toss. Fans can also sign up for a chance to participate in the “Pepsi Kick for Cash” at halftime, use the Pepsi Photo Booth, and experience the Pepsi Refresh Bar. Limited Pepsi-brand items will be given away and available for purchase. The Fan Festival will also feature:
